Every year, more than 15,000 people receive free legal advice across South Australia through our network of centres across South Australia. We have created fact sheets that give you general information on common legal issues. ALOS is a free service set up to provide legal advice and support to homeless and disadvantaged people who need help with legal matters and cannot afford a lawyer. The service is free and anyone with a legal problem is invited to make an appointment. We offer a confidential, respectful and supportive service to help our clients deal with small or large legal issues. We will take the time to listen to what our clients are saying, explain the law and help clients find viable options. Operated by the Faculty of Law, University of Adelaide. The office is made up of law students from the University of Adelaide last year and is run by fully qualified supervising lawyers. They also help clients manage their own cases or can refer them to other agencies that can handle more complex issues.

These agencies include the Commission des services juridiques or JusticeNet SA. At each centre, qualified lawyers, consultants and support staff take the time to explain your legal obligations, rights and options The Law Handbook provides an overview of South Australian law in everyday language. It describes your rights and obligations in a number of areas of law and advises you on areas where you can get additional support. The Magistrate`s Court Legal Advice Service, which operates out of the Adelaide Magistrates` Court, is a free legal clinic that helps resolve minor civil disputes. The program aims to help students become better lawyers by involving them in the entire process of providing legal advice to real clients. Our services are provided by law students in the past year and supervised by qualified lawyers. The Services are confidential and may assist with legal advice, letters, court documents and dispute resolution. Our members provide free legal advice, support and referrals to community members who might not otherwise get the help they deserve. Contact the office Monday to Friday between 9 a.m.

and 5 p.m. or make an appointment on the website. Works on Fridays from the westcare centre, 11-19 Miller Court, Wright St, Adelaide, see website link for site.
